A former ExxonMobil staff member and a policeman have died in Villa Marina Hotels and Tevoli Hotels in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
The death of the two men in different hotels was confirmed by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command through its spokesman, Timfon John.
The Police Public Relations Officer, who is also an Assistant Superintendent of Police, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Eket.
She said the contractor to the multinational oil company died on Sunday while the police officer died on October 14.
John however could not disclose to NAN the names of the victims at the time of filing this report.
She said: “The former ExxonMobil staff died at the Hotel in Eket.

“He died as a result of slipping when he came out from the bathroom and fell and hit his head on the tiles.”
John said that necessary investigation had been done and the police have released the corpse to the family for burial.
She said that the police officer, who came from Lagos to Eket on an official assignment, died of heart failure.
