The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Sikiru Tae Lawal, has denied soliciting for money and airtime via his social media page, Facebook.
Information available on Saturday morning has it that some fraudsters hacked into Dr. Lawal’s Facebook page and have been demanding for money and airtime via the platform.
The message being sent to people by the fraudsters reads: “I’m in a meeting right now and a good friend of mine is stranded in Kogi, Lokoja. I need your help with airtime to send to her. I promise to refund your money once I’m through with the meeting…OK?”
Lawal said such requests should be ignored.
