The Nigerian Medical Association has felicitated with Muslims on this year’s Eid-el-Fitr celebration which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
NMA in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by its National President, Dr Francis Faduyile, however, urged Muslims to pray for peace and progress of the country.
Faduyile described the occasion as an important religious day which is also known as the “feast of breaking the fast”, as celebrated by Muslims globally.
He said: “As we celebrate this special day, we pray that Almighty Allah accepts our supplications and acts of Ibadah.
“May He grant us joy, happiness and fulfilment in all our endeavors.
“We equally pray for peace to reign on our land at this trying time of our national life.
“Happy Eid Mubarak to you all.”
