Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt and Sunshine Football Club of Akure both failed to live up to expectations in their Champions League first leg matches this weekend.
While Dolphins took a 2-1 advantage in Port Harcourt in their match against Cotton Sports Garoua of Cameroun, Sunshine Stars lost 1-4 in Angola to Recrativo de Libolo.
This makes the second leg matches for both teams a tough one as Dolphins will have to contend with the slim advantage over Cotton Sports Garous away in Cameroun and Sunshine Stars battle to upturn the table against the Angolans in Nigeria.
The second leg of the two matches will come up in a forthnight.
