Nigeria and Tottenham Hotspur loanee, Dele Alli, is due to return from injury next week.
The 18-year old striker, who signed for Spurs for £5 million from Dons in January, has had an ankle injury, which he sustained in the 1-0 victory at Colchester United on February 17.
MK Dons manager, Karl Robinson, said last week that he hoped Alli would be fit for the home tie with Notts County at the weekend but that recovery could yet spill over into next week, according to the club’s head of coaching Richie Barker.
Barker said while there had been no complications with his recovery, another week may be needed for him to get his fitness levels back.
“I think Dele will be close with him and it might be that him returning steps over into next week,” said Barker.
“As far as I know from the last injury update we had, he was coming along OK and there had been no major complications.”
