A former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, was on Monday arraigned before an Abuja High Court sitting at Maitama on allegations of involvement in a N13.6 billion fraud.
Sambo was arraigned alongside a former Director of Finance in the Office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu; a former Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Aminu Baba-Kusa; and his companies, Acacia Holding Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission accused them of illegal diversion of N13.6 billion from the national treasury.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the 19-count charge.
Justice Hussein Baba Yusuf adjourned till Tuesday to hear their bail applications.
