In a bold step towards deepening diaspora connections through cultural initiative and investment Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission), has applauded Dr. Krystal Chanchangi, CEO of Kids Multicultural World, Las Vegas, Nevada, for building and instilling the spirit of multiculturalism among kids.
Dabiri-Erewa, represented by Engr. Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi, Secretary to the Commission, acknowledged the power of the diaspora in driving national development, describing them as a formidable force shaping key sectors such as medicine, engineering, entrepreneurship, aviation, culture and sports.
He noted that NiDCOM remains committed to fostering stronger connections with Nigerians in the diaspora through initiatives such as the National Diaspora Policy, the Diaspora Data Mapping Portal, and strategic programmes such as the National Diaspora Day and the Nigerian Diaspora Investment Summit, among others.
Bassi further highlighted the Nigerian Diaspora Mortgage Scheme, designed to facilitate homeownership for Nigerians in the diaspora, Nigerian Diaspora Investment Trustfund, to be run and managed by the diasporans themselves, as well as Diaspora Medical Missions that provide free healthcare services in the country.
The Secretary to the Commission assured Dr. Chanchangi of NiDCOM’s support and pledged to facilitate stronger collaboration, enhance cultural initiatives, and ensure seamless communication during her engagements in Nigeria.

Dr. Chanchangi, a Nigerian-American from Taraba State, shared her passion for preserving Nigerian culture among kids in the diaspora.
She expressed her commitment to promoting cultural heritage through her platform, adding that her annual cultural festivals in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Texas serve as avenues for over 36,000 kids of different nationalities to embrace their roots.
The entrepreneur and philanthropist, who previously held the title of Miss Illinois Universal 2016, also spoke about her dedication to education and youth empowerment, revealing that she has adopted a school in Anambra State and covered the school fees of 1,000 children.
Chanchangi commended Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and the NiDCOM team for the warm reception and reaffirmed her commitment to using her platform to promote Nigerian culture and empower young Nigerians globally.
