The Technical Adviser of Warri Wolves, Maurice Cooreman, has said his side will go for a win when they play host to FC Kallon in the return leg of the CAF Confederation cup game, at the Warri City Stadium, Delta State.
Cooreman said this while speaking after his side were held to a 0-0 draw by their host, FC Kallon, in the first leg played at the National Stadium, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
He disclosed that his game plan was to get a draw and that based on the information at his disposal, he had to use Uche Ossai to do the job of marking out Mohammed Kallon.
He said the information he received indicated that the Sierra Leoneans built their game around Kallon, the former Inter Milan strong man.
While disclosing that his boys did not play good football as he had expected of them, Cooreman attributed their poor play to the bumpy nature of the pitch, adding that he was still satisfied with the result.
In his post match remark, the Technical Adviser of FC Kallon, Musa Kallon, said the Nigerian team played a highly technical game that ended up fustrating his wards, but promised to work on the team to ensure that they get a good result in the returm leg in Warri.
He admitted that his game plan of building the team’s game around Mohammed Kallon backfired as the younger players in the team could not play their game when he was marked out as they all look up to him for direction on the field of play.
