Civil Defence elevates 198 workers

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps has promoted 198 of its personnel engaged in security operations in Nigeria’s North-East.
The Commandant of the NSCDC in Borno, Abdullahi Ibrahim, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Maiduguri.
He said the promotion was to motivate the operatives for service delivery.
Ibrahim said the personnel included those actively involved in counter-insurgency operations and those deployed to liberated Local Councils and others involved in various operations.
He said: “The promotion was approved by our Commandant-General, Abdullahi Gana, as part of steps to reciprocate their hard work and to boost their morale.
“The elevated personnel were those who stood out in their commitment and lived up to expectations in the discharge of their responsibilities.”
