Players and officials of Coton Sport Garoua are optimistic of recording victory over Dolphins in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
The Cameroonian side will have at least 300 fans to cheer them in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Chairman of the Cameroonian community in Port Harcourt, Takam Celestin, said on Friday, that there are 250 registered Cameroonians in Port Harcourt and they plan to mobilise some more from Aba, Owerri, Enugu and Calabar.
“We have a large Cameroonian Community in Port Harcourt and we will turn up in our numbers to cheer our team,” Takam said.
“Coton Sport will win in Port Harcourt on Sunday. That’s why we are here. They have support from the government and they will have maximum support from us.”
A 25-man delegation of Cameroon’s Coton Sport Garoua arrived in Lagos on Thursday at about 9pm aboard an Air Nigeria plane.
The Cameroonians spent the night in Lagos and made their way to Port Harcourt early on Friday morning via Aero Contractors plane.
Coton Sport plays against Dolphins on Sunday in the CAF Champions League 2nd round 1st leg match at the Liberation stadium in Port Harcourt.
