President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Babatunde Akiolu, on the attack on his palace by hoodlums who took advantage of the #EndSARS protest.
The President, who spoke in a telephone conversation with the paramount ruler, did so on the day he turned 77.
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said Buhari conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Lagos ruler on the occasion of his 77th birthday.
He again commiserated with him on the recent episode of violence that led to the losses of life and property in Lagos.
The President recalled his long association and friendship with the Oba and appreciated the personal role that the latter has played in nurturing the peace and development of Lagos State and nation as a whole.
