The representative of Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye, on Wednesday left the sitting area usually used by senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
Melaye was elected on the platform of the APC.
However, during plenary on Wednesday, Melaye, who spoke, said he was no longer comfortable sitting with the APC senators.
He then moved into the area occupied by senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He sat close to former President of the Senate, Dr. David Mark, and Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
Melaye, however, did not officially announce his defection to the PDP.
