President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to continue serving Nigerians to the best of his ability.
Buhari said this shortly after he was declared the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the early hours of Wednesday.
The President spoke at the headquarters of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had earlier declared Buhari as the validly elected president of Nigeria arising from the presidential election of February 23, 2019.
Buhari polled a total of 15,191,847 votes to retain the seat he first won in 2015.
Closest to him was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who scored, 11,262,978 votes.
