The number of confirmed Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) cases in Nigeria has risen to 40.
This was confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control at 11pm on Monday.
According to the lead agency in the management of the disease in Nigeria, the four new cases were recorded in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
While Lagos State has three new cases, Abuja recorded one.
Two of the new cases were said to be returning travellers.
So far, there are 28 cases in Lagos State; seven in Abuja; Ogun State, two; Ekiti, Edo and Oyo States have one each.
Only one of the cases has died.
