The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has joined the Kebbi State governorship race.
He declared his intention to stand for the election on Thursday on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Birnin-Kebbi.
Speaking at a stakeholders meeting of the APC, Malami said: “If you will support me and accept me, I wish to say I am interested in becoming the next governor of Kebbi if you permit me.
In his speech, the state Chairman of the APC, Muhammad Abubakar Kana, said the meeting was called to thank Bagudu for his support to the party and assure him of their unalloyed support.
Kana said: “We want to thank you for being there for the party and all of us.
“We are ready to support any candidate of your choice.”
