Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi admits playing in England is his ambition.
Awoniyi was on the books at Liverpool for several years, but never managed to play competitively in England due to work permit issues.
He signed permanently with Union last summer and told Kicker: “The Premier League is my dream. Everyone knows that, including here in the club.
“I said to myself: ‘If I don’t make it in England, I want to play in the Bundesliga because the Bundesliga is the best organised league’.
“If I lived in England, it would be easier for my wife and child, if only because of the language. In addition, my sister and a brother live on the island.
“It’s a matter of timing. Now it’s too early to talk about a possible change of club.”
