The Association of Nigerian Authors, Osun State chapter has set aside March 17, 2019 to host the only surviving son of the late Yoruba literary sage, D.O. Fagunwa, Diipo Fagunwa, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
A statement by ANA Osun State Chairman and General Secretary, Muriola Awosemo and Bada Yusuf, said the event will take place at the NUJ Press Center, Iwo-Ibadan Road, Osogbo by 2pm prompt.
Uncle Diipo Fagunwa, as fondly called, is a fantasy writer like his late dad, a financial member of ANA Osun State, former lecturer in University of Ife, but now into disability management and elderly care and support.
He will be talking on the theme: “Governance and Fantasy.”
The second phase of the literary event is the birthday celebration of Awosemo, who just added a new year to his age.
Also registration of ANA Financial members for the ongoing ANA Database will take place the same day.
The literary event promises to be an avenue of poetry reading, book sales and signing, networking with fellow writers across the nooks and crannies of Osun State, the statement added.
