Premier League campaigners, Akwa United, has appointed Zachary Baraje as Technical Adviser.
The seasoned coach replaced Patrick Udoh, who was relieved of his duty after the club’s floppy campaign last season.
Competent sources close to Baraje hinted that the Uyo-based club opted for the services of Baraje after contractual negotiations failed to fall through with Solomon Ogbeide.
Ogbeide, it was learnt, has returned to Bayelsa United ahead of the new league season.
Baraje, who on arrival was lodged in an hotel owned by an official of the club, signed the dotted lines on Monday.
Before now, Baraje had guided a couple of Nigerian top clubs, including Enyimba and El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
