Abduction: South East Governors urge FG to publish missing girls’ names

The South East Governors’ Forum on Sunday advised the Federal Government to publish the identities of the abducted students in Chibok, Borno State to expedite their search.
The governors gave the advice in a communiqué issued at the end of their meeting in Enugu, read by forum’s Chairman and Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji.
They sympathized with the families of the kidnapped students and those of the Nyanya bomb blast.
The governors also condoled with the family of late Ambassador Ralph Uwechue, the immediate past President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, a pan Igbo cultural organisation.
The forum pledged to enhance security in the zone, saying it would do everything possible to maintain the low crime rate in the area.
They resolved to push for a review of the sharing formula of the Value Added Tax due to what it called “observed imbalances”.
Answering questions from journalists, Orji expressed satisfaction with the performance of its delegates at the ongoing National Conference.
Orji commended them for recommending the creation of additional state in the zone, adding that the forum would meet with them to decide on the state to be created.
The meeting was also attended by Governors Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State and Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, as well as the Deputy Governors of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, and Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere.
