The fear of the deadly epidemic, Ebola, is the beginning of wisdom for the Confederation of African Football as the African Youth Championship kicked off in Senegal on Sunday.
The African football governing body emphasized that all visitors from other African countries must be screened before entering the Leopoldo Sedar Senghor International Airport, Dakar.
This was contained in a statement made available by the Confederation of African Football.
The statement reads: “You must be sure that you have been examined and in good health (General good state, no fever, no asthenia, no headache, no sore throat, no vomiting, no diarrhea, no skin rash, in brief no presumptive signs of Ebola.
“Each person must respect and undergo the rules and regulations of the Rapid Response Medical team for screening (Temperature check). People coming from affected countries will have their details taken and monitored for twenty-one days.”
