There was a free for all at the governorship primaries of the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party.
This led to the cancellation of the exercise by the Chairman of the PDP in the state, Chief Iyiola Oyedepo.
The primaries was called off by Oyedepo at about 9:30pm after accreditation had started.
It was gathered that fight broke out after some of the delegates described others as fake.
This led to chairs being used as weapons.
Many sustained serious injuries.
Security agents at the venue did virtually nothing to stop the fight.
Twelve of the 13 aspirants for the election had earlier raised the alarm that the leadership of the party was favourably disposed to one of them.
