Nigerian international, Efe Ambrose, was on Wednesday sent off as his Celtic FC of Scotland crashed 1-4 to Legia Warsaw of Poland in the UEFA Champions League qualifying tie at the Polish Army Stadium.
The Brazil 2014 World Cup star got the marching order in the 41st minute of the encounter.
An Ambrose red card a minute before half-time left the Hoops chasing the game while 2-1 down, before Michal Zyro and Jakub Kosecki struck in the last six minutes to leave Ronny Deila’s side trailing 1-4 before the return leg at Murrayfield.
Callum McGregor sent jitters down the spines of the homer when he drew the first blood in the 10th minute before Warszawa’s Miroslav Radovic drew level and also went ahead to increase the tally.
Michal Zyro made it three, while Jakub Kosecki supplied the fourth goal on the dot of 90 minute.
The result could have been worse for Celtic, with the hosts missing two penalties through Ivica Vrdoljak.
Celtic’s hope of reaching the Champions League group stages is doubtful after the scandalous loss to the Polish side.
