The Chief Coach Rangers International, Okey Emordi, is confident the team will end its current campaign in the Nigeria Premier League on a glorious note.
The former handler of Enyimba International, who spoke with The Eagle Online shortly after his side opened a three-point lead in the NPL, stressed that the entire team had resolved to excel.
Emordi said: “I am confident that Rangers will do well this season the way we have started.
“I am sure we can sustain the tempo.
“It is too early to talk about title but we are ready to finish the season among the best.”
Rangers International have not won any laurel in the last 29 years, both on the domestic scene and continentally.
The Coal City boys consolidated their lead on the standing table following Enyimba’s 0-0 draw with Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
Rangers went goal crazy in Enugu on Wednesday as they hammered Ocean Boys 4-0 in their Week 14 match.
Chikeluba Ofoedu scored the first goal for the Flying Antelopes before Ejike Uzoenyi got the second goal through a penalty in the first half.
Efe Yarehe and Ogogo Odukpe, two former Warri Wolves strikers, who recently joined the Coal City side, scored the remaining two goals in the second half.
Rangers now have 26 points and have moved three points clear on the league table after Enyimba played a goalless draw against Lobi Stars at home.
