As part of concerted efforts to reduce child mortality in Nigeria, UBA Foundation has undertaken to donate incubators to teaching hospitals in the country.
To this end the Foundation today donated two incubators to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). The incubators were received by the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Professor Micheal Ibadin and other principal officers of the hospital.
“It is our hope that this gesture will help save babies born premature in the Benin area. It follows from the donation of incubators made by us to the Lagos University Hospital (LUTH} last year. UBA Foundation as the corporate social responsibility arm of UBA is committed to giving back to the society through a number of initiatives and special intervention programmes of this nature” said Ms Ijeoma Aso, MD UBA Foundation.
