President Goodluck Jonathan has summoned his cabinet to what has been termed an Extraordinary Federal Executive Council meeting on Friday.
The Extraordinary FEC meeting is to hold at its usual venue, the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
It is scheduled to start at 10am and last for 90 minutes.
It was learnt that the meeting will likely consider the recently approved and amended 2013 Appropriation Bill as passed by the National Assembly.
Jonathan was said to have summoned the meeting after the weekly meeting on Wednesday.
Efforts to get the agenda of the extraordinary meeting failed as cabinet members kept mute, saying that the President has warned them against releasing the agenda for meetings.
Jonathan was reportedly angry at Wednesday’s meeting that the agenda of the meeting, which was published by Premium Times, and those of early meetings, published by The Eagle Online and Premium Times, showed that discussions leaked before meetings.
Jonathan was said to have directed the National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Mohammed Sambo, to investigate the source of the leakage.
The most frequent agenda on the FEC meeting has been contract awards and consideration of contracts variations.
Intellectual discourse appears short on the agendas of the meeting.
The National Assembly last week passed the amended 2013 Appropriation Bill.
The Bill was increased by about N77 billion as requested by Jonathan in a letter to both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
