More attacks were carried out on business concerns that are South African brands in Lagos, Nigeria.
Among places attacked were PEP Stores and Shoprite in Lagos Island.
A PEP Store was completely looted.
Around 4:30pm, a group of masked young men were at Maryland mall (Shoprite) in Mende Maryland to attack the people the building and infrastructures.
They were seen with tyres, jerry-cans containing liquid suspected to be petrol likely with the intention of burning down the building.
But quick response of the Nigerian Mobile Police officers attached to Maryland Mall, the plans of the attackers was disrupted and they were dispersed.
At the time of reporting, normalcy is been restored at the mall.
However, lots of outlets/ shops in the building have locked up/ closed for the day.
Men of the Nigerian Police Force, Anthony village are around and security men of Halogen security are as well on ground.
