Former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the new leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 9th Senate.
In a post on his social media handles, Saraki expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the senators, while wishing them utmost success in their new role.
He stated: “My heartfelt congratulations to the new Minority Leader of the 9th Nigerian Senate, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe; the Deputy Minority Leader, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha; Minority Whip, Sen. Philip Aduda; and Deputy Minority Whip, Sen. Clifford Ordia. I wish you all utmost success.”
Saraki further expressed happiness with the rancour-free manner in which the new leadership team of the PDP was selected and the capacity, experience and wide acceptability of the team.
“I have no doubt that this team, like the one in the immediate past Senate, will make significant contributions to the goal of the Senate to always serve our people better,” Saraki stated.
Both Aduda and Bwacha were members of the Senate leadership in the 8th Senate.
