MTV Base’s Shuga super star, Olumide Oworu, 24, is staring as the lead character in “Choices’’, a five thousand US dollars project film grant by the Lagos Film Academy.
Oworu, who is also a rapper and modeling is known for his role in a TV series as “Tari’’ in “The Johnsons’, “Weki’’ in MTV Base’s Shuga, as well as in “The patriot’’, “Stolen waters,’’“ Hammer’’ and others.
The 4 minutes short series film, ‘Choices,’ tells the story of Tega, which every election provides an opportunity for him to make money and help his family survive.
This year, Tega faces a critical choice that could change not just him and his family, but the entire community, says the Pulse online news platform.
Notable actors in the film are Tessy Brown (Sophia, the Lost Heir) as Tega’s mom Barile and Ikponwosa Gold (Dominoes, Wetin Dey Confusion Na wa, Oga Bolaji) as Tega’s father, Efe.
Others include Heavens Obule and Idoko Gold as the younger versions of Tega.
The film is directed by Joshua Tostso, a member of the Artistry Media, ‘Choices’ was written by Al Faruk Umar and produced by Baridakara Nwilene.
