Erstwhile GIF Sundsvall of Sweden star, Adeyinka Adedeji, has sealed a short term deal with Nigeria Professional Football League campaigners, Sharks of Port Harcourt.
Adedeji of the Beijing 2010 Olympics fame, hinted that he agreed to play for the Port Harcourt team on a free clearance basis till the end of the season.
He said: “I have agreed a deal with Sharks.
“I dropped my clearance with the club without demanding for any penny and won’t be asking for a dime when I decide to leave.
“This is a traditional club with great ambition.
“I’m happy to be here and I want to assist the club win more laurel in the shortest period of time.
“I’m a professional footballer, so I’m determined to assist the club achieve her set goals in the round leather game and also move up on the league table.”
Adedeji was a member of the Flying Eagles team that won the African Youth Championship in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
The Samson Siasia-tutored team also shown like a million stars at the World Youth Championship, Netherlands 2005, where they won a silver medal.
Before now, Adedeji has featured for Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Sunshine Stars of Akure before he joined Pynunik FC of Yereven, Armenia where he played in the 2010 UEFA Champions League qualifiers against the Serbian champions, FK Partizan Belgrade.
