Indonesia will increase export of crude palm oil and its derivative products to Russia and Eastern European countries, the state Palm Oil Grower Association said on Wednesday.
Kanya Sidarta, the treasurer of the association, said the demand for CPO remains high in Russia and Eastern European countries, with Russia alone consuming more than 1 million tons a year.
He said that Indonesia’s export of CPO to Russia is short of the required demand, adding that he expects export of the product to reach 7000,000 tons this year.
Report say Indonesia is the world’s largest producer of palm oil, followed by Malaysia.
