Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command acting on a tip-off have recovered 22 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp from a gas plant at Wumba, Apo.
This was disclosed by the spokesman of the Command, Anjuguri Manzah, in a statement on Monday.
Manzah said the illicit drugs, which were concealed in a room at the gas plant ,were recovered by Apo Police Division on July 4, 2020.
He said the Command is on the trail of the owner of the recovered exhibits.
In another development, Police Operatives from Life Camp Division on patrol arrested John Sambo, 29, and Friday Usman, 30, on July 5, 2020 at Kado Fish Market while trying to escape after the duo attacked and dispossessed their victim of his phone.
Manzah said the exhibits recovered from the suspects were a pair of scissors and one techno phone.
He said investigation into both cases are ongoing.
