Youths under the aegis of the North Central Youth Movement for Good Governance (NCYMGG) has urged Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido to contest the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.
National coordinator of the group, Nafiu Yau Jos told journalists in Jos, that the call on Lamido to contest the PDP presidential primaries is prompted by the quest for a visionary, respectable and responsive leadership in Nigeria.
coordinator said, “We unanimously adopted Governor Sule Lamido as our presidential candidate due to his efforts and contributions made towards the transformation of Jigawa state to modern standard and execution of hundreds developmental projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people of Jigawa and Nigeria.
“Lamido has all the requisite and potentials looking at his track record in the political sphere of this country by serving in different capacity. He was in the forefront in the struggle for the entrenchment of democracy in Nigeria”
He further stressed that among his political pairs within the PDP, Lamido remains steadfast and did not for one day decamp to another party. He advised Nigerians to vote leaders like Lamido who are competent, focused and patriotic with vision as well as credibility to take Nigeria to the promise land.
“As patriotic Nigerian youths, part of our contribution is to create and disseminate valuable information to the general public on the credibility of Lamido as the best alternative to the country,” he added.
