A former Permanent Secretary in the Plateau State Civil Service, Engr. Emmanuel Dasat, has formally declared to challenge a former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Istifanus Mwamsat, in the 2015 Pankshin South Constituency poll for the State House of Assembly seat.
Mwamsat was elected in 2007, but his constituents seem not satisfied with his style of legislation and have taken a different step.
It was in this regard that Dasat has been endorsed by the people of Chip to contest against Mwamsat for the seat on the same platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Dasat, who spoke with journalists shortly after submitting his nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s office, promised that he will stop at nothing to ensure that he displaces Mwamsat in the forthcoming congress and subsequently the general election.
He promised that if given the mandate, he will work with the fear of God and ensure that the dividends of democracy that have eluded his people for a long time are delivered to them promptly and appropriately.
While assuring the party that he will not compromise its rules and regulations ensure a hitch free election in the constituency, he appealed to his supporters to put in their best to enable them deliver the project.
Those who accompanied Dasat to submit his forms included the Councillor representing Longbam ward, Gabriel Mama.
