The Sultan Abdulrahman School of Health Technology, Gwadabawa in Sokoto State recorded 96 per cent success in the National Laboratory Technicians Examination.
The information was contained in the results sheet released to the School by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, signed by Dr. Nathaniel Shidali.
The results sheet was also signed by the Advisory Committee on Education and Examinations, as well as the acting Registrar,
Tosan Erhabor.
The examinations were conducted on April 11, 2016 and the results were released on August 11.
It showed that 100 candidates from the school sat for the Diploma examinations and 96 passed.
Commenting on the development, the Executive Director of the institution, Alhaji Nasiru Aliyu, attributed the feat to the efforts of Governor Aminu Tambuwal.
Aliyu said: “This is the first time we have recorded this type of success since the school was established in 1992.
“The Sokoto State Government fully registered all candidates and equipped the laboratories for lectures and practicals.
“Our candidates were equally trained and motivated to acquire the required hospital experience.
“With this happy development, the school had injected 96 new professionals into the healthcare delivery system of the state.”
