The website of the West African Examinations Council temporarily shut down on Saturday, The Eagle Online observed.
The Eagles Online recalls that the Council had on Friday released the results of the May/June 2016 examination, telling candidates to start checking their results from Saturday.
However, after a few hours of opening the website for the checking of results on Saturday, it went down.
So many of the students and parents who could not have access to the website alerted The Eagle Online to the development.
The complaint persisted for the better part of Sunday with service only restored in the later part of the day, The Eagle Online observed.
No official of the examination body could be reached for comments on the development as at press time.
