The Zamfara Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has condoled with families of victims of Sunday’s bandits’ attacks in Karaye village, Gummi Local Government Area of the state.

A team of Nigerian Air Force officers led by AVM Idi Lubo on Friday arrived Zamfara to investigate allegations that innocent citizens were recently bombarded through air strikes by NAF personnel in the state.
The Nigerian Air Force on Monday launched operation “Diran Mikiya” to flush out armed bandits terrorising Zamfara state residents.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji, disclosed this on Thursday in Zurmi, while presenting state government’s assistance to the families of the deceased and victims of the recent gunmen attack at Birane Village in Zurmi Local Government Area of the state.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that unknown gunmen had last Thursday attacked Birane village in Zurmi local government area of the state, killed over 30 people and injured many others.
The upper legislative chamber also urged the Federal Government to explore diplomatic avenues to prevail on Niger and Chad Republics to prevent criminals from using their territories to launch attack on Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood
Yari, who spoke when he led five northern governors on a sympathy visit to the palace of the Emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, noted that security agencies in the area failed to tackle the problem of cross-border banditry and terrorism affecting communities in the area
Gwary said the suspects were apprehended by a joint patrol of the police and military, assisted by local vigilance members, at two hide-outs in neighbouring villages
