Power Africa is a multi-stakeholder partnership among the United States, the governments of Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria and Ethiopia, and the African private sector, with the shared objective of accelerating investment in Africa’s power sector over the next five years
Elumelu, who is Chairman of Heirs Holdings, a proprietary investment company, and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, called for the private sector to take on the responsibility of development, using his personal experience at the United Bank for Africa
At a lecture delivered at The Tony Elumelu Foundation offices in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Porter, who was described by the Times of London as the world’s “most influential management guru” and is widely regarded as the foremost authority on company and country competitiveness, spoke on competitive strategy, addressing entrepreneurs and business leaders on how best to sustain market advantage
Uduaghan, who performed the inauguration in Asaba, the Delta State capital, implored the new council to focus more on educational programmes in the university and ensure the programmes were in line with national and international standards
