The Sokoto State Zakkat and Endowment Commission, on Saturday disbursed medical assistance worth N7.4 million to various hospitals and pharmaceutical shops committee across the state.

The Chairman of the Commission, Malam Lawal Maidoki, who made this known while distributing the materials, said that the programme was to encourage the orphaned children in the state to go to school.
