Both meetings with senators and representatives, held at the homes of the Minority Leaders of both chambers, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, and had the lawmakers interact with the former Chairman of the National Assembly.

The confirmation of the nominees followed the consideration of a report by the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources.

The Governors, under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, had on Wednesday at their virtual meeting, urged the National Assembly to drop the Infectious Diseases Bill, first brought up by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila

This followed a Point-of-Order raised by Senator Chukwuka Utazi at plenary on Thursday.
