The Managing Director of the NPA, Mohammed Bello-Koko, revealed this to the lawmakers on Thursday

The Senate Panel through the report of the Auditor General for the Federation had queried the Institute for spending N210 million without payment vouchers.

The Senate Panel had summoned the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture following a query on the issue.

It relied on special periodic checks on the activities and programmes of the NDDC for January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2018.

The Committee hinged the investigation of the NIS on the 2016, 2017 and 2018 reports of the Auditor General of the Federation.

However, the Office failed to appear before the Senate Public Accounts Committee on the payment of N19 billion to four agencies through verbal directive by its Director General in 2015.

The Executive Secretary of PTAD, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, had told the panel that PTAD took over the Assets and Liabilities of Defunct Pension offices without a formal handing over.
