The petitions of the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Kenneth Gbagi, and that of the Labour Party (LP), Ken Pela suffered similar fate as that of Omo-Agege. The Court of Appeal threw out their petitions and declared Oborevwori as winner of the March 18 governorship poll in Delta state.
The message was contained in a letter the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly wrote to Elumelu.
The declaration was made by the INEC State Returning Officer, Prof. Georgewill Owuneri Abraham, on Monday in Asaba.
The candidate of the PDP for the poll, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, was absent at the debate that had 24 hours notice.
He said this in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of the State on Wednesday during a solidarity visit by the staff.
This followed Oborevwori’s endorsement for the March 11, 2023 election on Thursday by students and butchers.
Obiodeh gave this prediction on Tuesday, in an interview with journalists in Oleh, the headquarters of the Isoko South local government area.
