The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has urged state pilgrim welfare boards to collect N4.5m as deposits from 2024 hajj pilgrims, Daily Trust reports.
The National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has been commended for successfully airlifting all Nigerians who performed the 2023 hajj exercise. The commendation was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, 30th August, 2023 by the Executive Director of the Islamic human rights organization, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC).
Ustadh Hassan made the call while speaking with newsmen at the National Conference Public Lecture, of The Companion, an Association of Muslim Men in Business and the Professions, held at the University of Lagos UNILAG, Akoka.
IHR in a statement Monday in Abuja, signed by its National Coordinator, Ibrahim Mohammed said the call became necessary due to the change in the Calendar of Hajj activities by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah following the conclusion of Hajj 2023.
Thereafter, Pakistan, Kuwait and Indonesia swung into 2024 hajj preparations, citing the early release of the calendar.
