The Chief Imam of the University Mosque, Prof. Nasir Abdulsalam, stated this in the institution’s bulletin issued on Monday in Ilorin.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said his decision to observe Juma’at prayers at the Presidential Villa and not the National Mosque in Abuja is to prevent the constraints and inconveniences presidential movements may cause to the people.

Even though the brothers of IMN took the decision to cancel the preaching session in order to avoid spilling of blood of innocent unarmed Muslims by the military and other security agents, the security agents dispersed worshipers from the mosque immediately after the Juma’at prayers
