This is contained in a statement to felicitate Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri and issued to newsmen on Thursday from Oyo, a copy of  which was made available to the Lagos Office of the News Agency of Nigeria.

Badejo made this assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Lagos.

Rev. Sr. Eunice Ikufisile, the Director of Social Communications in the Catholic Diocese of Oyo, stated this in a statement she e-mailed to the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Tuesday

The cleric gave the advice on Tuesday to Nigerians as they celebrate the country’s 59th independence anniversary.

Badejo said this in his Eid-ul-Fitri message where he condemned shedding of innocent blood in some parts of the country.

Badejo made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Ibadan.
