President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with a delegation of political and traditional leaders from Kano State, led by the State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari says the Nigerian Constitution barred him from interfering in the dispute between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
This followed the adoption of the report of the House Committee on Local Government presented at Wednesday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Abdulazeez Garba-Gafasa.
The Oba made the call on Monday in Kano during a courtesy visit on Ganduje at the Government House.
Sanusi-Kiru disclosed this to newsmen in Kano on Thursday ahead of the maiden International Day of Education, scheduled for Friday in Kano.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Abba Anwar, made available to newsmen in Kano, said only five cases of the disease were confirmed.
He made the call on Wednesday night when he received the state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rabi’u Sulaiman-Bichi, who defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Alhaji Rabi’u Suleiman-Bichi, the state’s PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman, gave the advice, while speaking with newsmen in Kano on Monday.
