The Principal Administrative Officer of the Police Service Commission, Aaron Kaase, has dragged his employer to the National Industrial Court for his alleged suspension from office.
Kaase joined the Chairman, Permanent Secretary and the Director of Administration and Finance of the commission as co-defendants in the suit.
In the suit filed before Justice Peter Lifu, the claimant alleged that his suspension from office was illegal.
His counsel, Kenneth Achabo, therefore, prayed the court to prevail on the commission to quash the suspension and reinstate his client to his position.
Achabo also urged the court to quash a query issued his client by the commission over a petition he wrote to the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission.
Achabo maintained that both actions from the commission were in bad faith and did not follow due process as his client was entitled to the rights of expression and information under the Freedom of Information Act.
Responding, Counsel to the defendants, Babatunde Dada, prayed for a short adjournment to enable his clients file and serve their defence and other processes in the suit.
The judge after due considerations adjourned the case till April 20 for hearing.
