Super Eagles, Dream Team VI intensify training ahead of international engagements

Super Eagles and Dream Team VI on Wednesday intensified training ahead of their international engagements scheduled to take place later this month.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Super Eagles are preparing for their March 25 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Egypt in Kaduna.
The Dream Team VI are training for an international friendly against their Brazilian counterparts on March 24 as part of preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
A NAN correspondent who watched both teams’ training on Wednesday evening at the mainbowl of the National Stadium in Abuja reports that players of both sides battled to impress their coaches.
This was to guarantee them places on the final lists of selected players for the encounters.
Coach Samson Siasia took charge of the Super Eagles training, while Fatai Amoo handled the national under-23 male team.
The training later took a different dimension when both teams engaged each other in a training match, with the under-23 side winning 1-0.
Defender Kalu Orji did not take part in the training due to the slight injury he sustained in Tuesday’s drill.
The Rangers International FC of Enugu player, however, told NAN that he would be fit for the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Egypt on March 25.
“I am coming all out tomorrow (Thursday) because I will be fit,” Orji said.
