A man, John Aderemi, who was undergoing cleansing at a parish of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church Movement in Ogun State, has been reported dead and later found out to be HIV positive.
This was gleaned by The Eagle Online from a Situation Report by the Idiroko Police Division, Ogun State to the Command headquarters.
According to the SITREP, the death of Aderemi, who was reported to be from Ogbomoso in Oyo State, was reported to the police on March 3, 2025 at about 9pm.

It was reported by Pastor Opeyemi Ogungbenga of the C&S Church Movement in Isale Eyo Ilase in Idiroko.
According to available information, Aderemi had been in the church for the cleansing from illness since January.
He was said to have died on March 3, 2025 at about 7pm at the General Hospital in Idiroko.
Further information has it that he tested positive for HIV and his remains had been deposited in the morgue of the hospital.
The spokesperson of the Command and a Chief Superintendent of Police, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the case to The Eagle Online on Tuesday.
