Unidentified armed robber has been killed in Delta state. The suspect allegedly opened fire on men of the Anti-Robbery Patrol Team when he sighted them.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Celestina Kalu, a DSP, in Asaba, confirmed the incident, saying “our men swiftly mobilized, in the ensuing gun duel the armed robber, who is yet to be identified was gunned down.”
According to her, the police in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state received information that the robber was operating at Agidiase Quarters in the locality before he was gunned down.
She listed the items recovered from them to include one AK47 rifle with S/No. 8398, 11 rounds of live ammunition and one Daylong motorcycle with Reg. No. NSK575QA
Meanwhile, the corpse has been deposited in General Hospital Morgue Ogwashi-Uku for autopsy.
