Saudi Arabia’s Al-Kawkab FC has insisted that it is not involved in the pursuit of unsettled Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
It emerged this week that an unnamed Saudi club had offered Ronaldo a two-year contract worth €250 million to leave Old Trafford for the Middle East this summer.
Speculation had suggested Al-Kawkab FC were involved, but they have since released a statement to deny the claims.
On social media, the Saudis declared: “Official announcement: Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Kawkab’s relationship rumours are not true.
“The player is absolutely not included in the plans of the club.”
